Portraits My photo

( photo not up)
For portraits i had a picture of my little sister looking up to the left. I thought the photo looked pretty good.I could have had better lighting and maybe added something to the picture to make it a little different than every other portrait out there.

Portraits

This caught my eye because this young boy was dressed so brightly  as an Indian god.
I liked this picture because of the blue background and how the man was wearing all white.

I liked this one the most because of the mans eyes and his bright turban which matched the background.

I liked this picture because of the mans face and the cross in front of him added something extra to the picture.
I liked this picture because of the flute mostly and the mans pepper colored hair.

I liked how the light fell over the mans face.

I really liked the texture of the face and the bright colors of the clothes.

I was drawn to the red and white paint.
I liked the reflection on the glasses and how they were a little crooked.
I liked the turban along with the mans facial hair.

What makes a great photograph

Many things can make a great photo personally I like a photo with a story or message behind it. Some other things that I like in great photographs are the lighting and the contrast of colors meaning like one thing that really stands out.

National Geographic-The photographers

  • Working in limited lighting.
  • Removing distractions.
  • Timing. Timing. Timing.
  • Focusing on the eyes.
  • Being aware of your surroundings.
My favorite photographer would probably be Steve McCurry the one who took the picture of I think she was Afghan lady. I don't remember the name but she had green eyes and black hair.

My favorite photograph was the one of the crying boy whose sheep had been killed. I really liked this picture because of the story behind it.

With the one of the Afghan lady the picture was focused on her eyes which we had talked about.
There was a picture with a person framed with a school of fish so a frame within a frame which we had discussed.

Making my positive and negative

I thought the turn out of my positive negative was good. I wish the negative half would have turned out better though, they were a unclear. I also could have picked a better subject.

Framing my photo

(picture not up)
For framing I took a picture of my sister walking and placed her in between two branches making the frame. I thought the picture was average not really my best picture. I could have framed it better and used a filter so it wouldn't be so grey.

Rule of Thirds my photo

(photo not up)
For my Rule of Thirds photo i took a picture of three wine glasses on a glass table with a window in the background. The light was coming in from the window and the wine glasses reflected off the glass table. I liked the photo though it was a little dusty and unfocused. I i could change any thing I would have fixed those problems.

Conveying a message my photo

(photo not there)
For my conveying a message photo i had my grandpa looking out of the window holding a cup of coffee, with the light coming towards him. I liked the photo because of the lighting and also the way my grandpa looked. The photo was meant to convey maybe loneliness or old age. If there was something i could have changed i would have tried to give it a stronger message.

Framed pictures

I liked this picture because of the way the fish was positioned in between the smaller fish and how the light  is behind the bigger fish.

I thought this was a nice picture because the eye really stands out.

i liked this picture because of the bright colors.
I liked this because the outline of the man looked good.

I liked this because of how the bridge leads your eye to the car.

Hands and Feet Critique

I liked the picture i took because i like how the cupcake in the hands looks. If i could change something I would center it better and maybe cut out some of the bottom so the legs aren't as distracting.

Hands and Feet

I liked this picture because the feet were framed within the hands and is like a  look at old and new.

I was drawn to this picture because of the cool designs on the hands.

I liked this picture because of the look of the hands and the bird added something unique to it.

I liked this because of the look of the sand falling off the hands.

I liked this picture because of how the rocks went around the feet.

Rules of Thirds

This picture really caught my eye because of the bright yellow moss and the puffin on it.

I liked this picture because of the jagged rocks and how the animal  peered out from behind them

This picture just looked great with your eye being drawn to the tent and then the great back round.

I liked this picture because the lionfish looked really abstract compared to the back round of all the smaller fish.

This is a cool picture because both of the girls are flipping their hair at the same time giving it a nice look.

#1Conveying Messeges

My eye was drawn to this picture because of how young the men looked. This is from WW2 and due to shortages of soldiers so this is proof of it.

In this picture humor is conveyed because your not going to see very many cats with melons on their heads.

This picture conveys the hardship and troubles of the great depression and the lives of the people.

This picture conveys the awful tradgedy that occured in Haiti due to the earthquake and the many that died.

This picture conveys the hardship in Iraq and the things the soldiers do on a daily basis. Also it conveys my modern warfare 2 experience. :)
